The Company programme is the best known of our programmes for young people. Getting involved in the JA program really pays off, because you will get to
- try entrepreneurship without risk
- develop working life skills needed in the future
- compete if you want at the Uskalla Yrittää festival
- network
- and of course – earn money
There are tens of thousands of young people in Finland who have visited or are currently performing some of the programmes offered by the Junior Achievement association (JA). Are you one of them?
Entrepreneurial skills apply to everyone
For many people, the significance of work is a reason to become an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is no longer seen as a mere business activity, but as a way of living a good life that looks like yourself. These professions, too, often represent entrepreneurship:

I have learned to overcome my performance anxiety and tell my own story in different ways, depending on the audience. I have always been nervous about performing in front of others, but it comes more naturally to me now.
The best thing about my experiences as an ambassador have been the interactions with others.
JA Ambassador
We are entrepreneurs because our passion is doing impressive things. Before setting up a JA company, we didn’t really have any skills, but practice and customer projects taught us a lot and allowed us to continuously develop our ideas for our real company.
Being a true entrepreneur is really fun, as you get to follow your own rules. We understood that failures are the best teachers for entrepreneurs, as they give you direct feedback in the clearest possible format. We have had our ups and downs and encountered some challenging customers, but we have survived them all.

The year with Junior Achievement helped me determine the direction for my life. I realized that I was a true performer, helper of people and a designer of future. I learned how to sell things and accept feedback and how to network with others.
