The use of Internet and social media in the PR and marketing of JA companies has increased tremendously.
Several JA companies have already utilized to the full extent the possibilities online content opens for entrepreneurship.
”The students in JA Company and JA Start Up programs are founding websites, Facebook pages, blogs, and online stores for their companies. Other social media challens, such as Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest are also utilized in marketing,” said JA’s Program Manager Turo Numminen.
Skills of the young JA entrepreneurs were showcased in the Company and Start Up program competitions which reached their conclusion in March. Rewards were given for JA companies with best online solutions.
”The most proficient JA companies make extensive use of the Internet and know how to obtain visibility and clients through social media. These solutions clearly show that these youths have professional competence,” Numminen said.

The award for the best online solution among students in primary education was given to Diana Music NY from Seinäjoki. The winner in high schools/vocation schools was Avedia NY from Kajaani. The Best Web Presence award, given out to Start Up companies, was given to Julja NY from Turku.

JA companies awarded also for best visual image and business idea
Awards were given out also for the companies with the best visual image and the best business idea in the Start Up program. For the best visual image, the winners were Young Dance NY from Kajaani (primary education) and The Present UF from Åland (secondary education). The winners of the award for the best business idea were Vallaton NY from Seinäjoki (primary education) and RikuCo NY from Helsinki (secondary education).

Company of the Year 2013 finals in Lohja!
The next big JA event will be held in Lohja on April 8 to 9, when JA’s annual main event, Uskalla Yrittää finals, take place.
