How can we turn the know-how into concrete skills, new innovations and knowledge, that can be used not only in Finland, but also globally?
In 2012, Finland still provides some of the best education in the world to those who will build the world in the future. But how can we turn the know-how into concrete skills, new innovations and knowledge, that can be used not only in Finland, but also globally?
Co-operation with schools, companies and other external working life is of key importance if we aim to secure a prosperous future for our companion regions and their needs for education, competitive ability and preparedness for what is to come. We must aim to change the attitudes of young people, promote active participation in their lives and help them recognize their own potential. This process must be started at an early age.
The “super skills” of the workers and leaders in the 2020’s – leadership, critical thinking, co-operative skills and creativity – are being trained NOW! This year’s JA-YE Entrepreneurship education program consists of ten different types of curricula, which all offer young people a chance to learn new skills and how to utilize them by putting them into actual use. We also provide teachers with the necessary tools to integrate entrepreneurship education into their own teaching methods. For companies, participating in JA-YE activities offers a chance to share their knowledge and skills, hear the opinions and views of young people and meet future employees.
In 2012 we aim to increase our co-operation with companies. You can read more about good experiences and methods that have been proven useful [HERE]. Training for all JA-YE programs is provided by the YES regional network, which operates already in 19 localities.
